    I've been struggling on steep slopes these days. I tried to kick my back foot to control the speed at the end of every turn on steep slopes and my back leg just burnt all day long... Gonna try the pedaling tomorrow, I think this might save me :D

    I really want to use these as my HIIT to prep for skiing, but the video goes so fast through the exercises that its not actually useful as a tool to follow. Like, I need to set a timer, press start to remember what's next. Then stop the video before it moves on. finish my 30 secs, then take a break, then do again? Other people just make an actual video you can have on and follow. Timer in the corner sometimes. Can we get that version of this workout?

    I skied it by myself with friends. If you follow the main route, there is no problem aside from finding a ticket for the lift where guides have a large share

    Its a very nice tour. I have just done it once, in perfect weather. If you are going to do the tour without guide: Follow main tracks! Do NOT try any funny ideas (as I did). The hut with resturant on the way down is also something I can recomend. Edit: If you are going without a guide: The crevases are serious stuff and not a joke. You should be able to ski in any kind of snow conditions and have good knowledge of moving around on glaciers. If you are in doubt: Hire a guide.

    Quand vous serez au fond d'une crevasse vous allez demander conseil à un guide anglais ? Il y a déjà trop de blaireaux sur cet itinéraire de haute montagne sans faire un pseudo guide vidéo.

      @@owenharris5420 I would say this price is about right. In terms of equipement a guide will often be able to provide you shovel, prob and beacon, maybe a harness. for the rest you need to buy or rent it.

    To anonymous, You should weigh the backpack of a guide. It has all the gear to help rescue you from a crevasse. Vallée Blanche is not that steep but it is beautiful and worth the expense to have a guide to keep you out of trouble unless you are a guide yourself and with a group of skiers that are experienced with skiing on glaciers!

      it kills me to see how much guides cost minimum 100euro pp for 2 people when you are already paying 70euro pp for the lift ticket. It has max 31degree spots for the classic route, so they really shouldn't be upselling you from a normal off-piste ski package.

    • @colinress
      @colinress Рік тому

      Guides work hard and they are dedicated to helping you if anything happens! And sometimes guides make the wrong call because they are pressured by the clients to go against their judgement! The Vallee Blanche is beautiful and worth doing several times. You want to make it more reasonable go with 3-4 friends and split his fee, and don’t forget to tip!

    Good video. Great to see a UA-cam tutorial mentioning peddling, using the torsional flex of the board in basic skidded turns. Not sure I fully agree with not using it in carved turns though. What was described is a very passive carve, rolling from edge to edge and applying edge angle equally with both feet and the weight pretty much centered throughout. More advanced carving, introducing a pump into your carve to accelerate you around the turns, you can very much use the torsional flex of your board. Along with fore and aft movement throughout the turn as well as flex and extension to accelerate the board through the turn. A lot going on by the time you get to that point but that's all the more reason to introduce peddling and torsional flex at this point. The conditions look fantastic, very jealous. Happy turns and hope you make more board videos on the channel.
